Announcing a social housing project for low-income people

On May 30, news from the Office of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province said that the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province has just announced the list of social housing projects and workers' housing projects in need of loans in the province.

Accordingly, Ca Mau province announced a social housing project for low-income people, which is the social housing investment project in Tan Xuyen ward, Ca Mau city.

This is the first separate social housing project of the province, invested by an enterprise through the form of bidding for land-using projects in Ca Mau province.

The project is invested by Ca Mau Mau Housing Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. The construction land area is over 34,375m2. Total number of houses is 237.

Of which, there are 19 commercial houses and 218 social houses. Total project investment is 107.83 billion VND. Loan requirement is 50 billion VND.

The project started in April 2024, is currently under construction, and will be completed in November 2026.

Mr. Huynh Quoc Viet, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, said that the social housing investment project in Tan Xuyen ward, Ca Mau city will contribute to the implementation of the project "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period of 2021-2023" according to Decision 338 of the Prime Minister and initially implementing the plan to strive to have 2,900 social housing units by 2030 of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province also requested relevant departments, branches, localities and units according to their functions and tasks to strengthen coordination in implementing social housing development, promptly and thoroughly handling difficulties and problems for social housing investment projects.
