Management company denies rumors that Miss Thien An was banned from competing because she missed too many classes.

On the afternoon of December 28th, the fan page of Sen Vàng - the managing organization of Miss Thien An - issued a statement refuting rumors that the beauty queen was banned from taking exams at Greenwich University Vietnam due to excessive absences.

The announcement stated: "Currently, information about Miss Doan Thien An's studies at Greenwich University is being spread on social media and in the press. We would like to confirm that this information is false and unfounded. We kindly ask viewers to be discerning and avoid spreading this misinformation further."

Miss Doan Thien An has completed her college-level studies at the University of Industry and is expected to graduate in March 2024.

With a thirst for knowledge, Miss Doan Thien An has continued her university studies after receiving a scholarship at Greenwich University. We wholeheartedly encourage Thien An's spirit as she continues to aspire to further her knowledge and improve herself through a second academic program. Thien An is currently completing her studies and exams as required by the university."

The unit also emphasized: "Doan Thien An's study path at Greenwich University will be longer than that of standard students after the university and the company discussed and agreed to support the rearrangement of the course schedule in the most appropriate way to balance study time and career development activities for Miss Doan Thien An."

Previously, rumors circulated on social media that Miss Doan Thien An was on the list of students ineligible to take the 2023 semester exams at Greenwich University Vietnam due to 37 absences, representing a 53% absence rate.

The governing body denies rumors that Thien An was banned from taking exams due to excessive absences.

In an interview with Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Nhut Tan - Director of Greenwich Vietnam - confirmed that Doan Thien An is currently a first-year student, enrolled in the 2023 intake, and is only in the English preparatory phase at Greenwich Vietnam, not yet in her major.

However, Mr. Tan stated that Doan Thien An's English is quite good, so she doesn't need to start learning from scratch. Therefore, the information that the beauty queen was banned from the competition due to excessive absences from school is untrue.

Doan Thien An, born in 2000 in Long An , was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2022. She also represented Vietnam at the Miss Grand International 2022 pageant and reached the top 20.
