The newly opened Viettel Logistics Park covers a total area of over 143 hectares. With a total investment of nearly 3,300 billion VND, it has the capacity to handle approximately 1,500 vehicles per day (twice the current capacity).
The data system is directly connected to Vietnamese and Chinese customs data, ensuring optimized operational processes and reducing customs clearance processing time from 4-5 days to under 24 hours.
Customs clearance costs have decreased by 30-40%, increasing the efficiency of refrigerated container trucks transporting fruit from 2.5 trips/month to 4-5 trips/month.
At the opening ceremony, Mr. Ho Tien Thieu – Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province – stated that Lang Son plays a strategic role as a gateway connecting trade between Vietnam and China, bordering the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) – a leading agricultural logistics center of China – and five northern provinces of Vietnam.
"Lang Son is not only an important domestic transit point, but also a bridge for trade between ASEAN and China."
The Vietnam-China border trade market, especially between Guangxi and Lang Son, is developing strongly, becoming a promising logistics area for businesses.
"In order to promote import and export activities, the People's Committee of Lang Son province has implemented many support policies, creating favorable conditions for businesses when trading through border gates in the area," Mr. Thieu expressed.

The head of the Lang Son Provincial People's Committee added that the goods transshipment area project located within the Dong Dang - Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone is one of the province's key projects.
The project involves storing, preserving, sorting, and packaging import and export goods according to international standards and quality.
By optimizing freight transport, resolving congestion at border gates, and shortening customs clearance times, Lang Son will become the foundation for the national logistics infrastructure.
Major General Cao Duc Thang – Chairman and CEO of Viettel Group – highlighted some key contributions of the military to economic development.
"With the three functions of the military being a fighting force, a working force, and a production force, today, with over 100 military enterprises, we generate 6-7% of the national GDP, contribute over 3 billion USD to the state budget, and generate annual profits of 3-4 billion USD."
"In particular, we have been entrusted by the Party and the State with many tasks to build and develop infrastructure, as well as develop key economic sectors," Mr. Thang stated clearly.

He added that logistics costs still account for 16-18% of the cost of goods, while globally it is only about 10%. Therefore, modern, integrated logistics centers will gradually remove bottlenecks, reduce costs, and shorten customs clearance time, aiming for 24 hours.
Besides the Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park, Viettel leaders believe there is a need for large-scale, modern logistics projects across the country, with a green orientation, for example in Lao Cai, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Ninh, Tay Ninh, or associated with new projects such as Long Thanh Airport and Vung Ang Port.
