On the morning of December 3, in Hanoi, the Department of Motorcycles - Transport (General Department of Logistics - Engineering) held a conference to review the tasks of 2025 and the direction of tasks for 2026. Major General Phung Ngoc Son, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff of the General Department of Logistics - Engineering attended and directed the conference. Major General Nguyen Que Lam, Director of the Department of Motorcycles - Transport chaired the conference.

The conference was organized in person and online with connecting points of units under the General Department of Logistics and Engineering.

The report at the conference affirmed that in 2025, the Department of Motorcycles and Transportation had provided good advice to the General Department of Logistics and Engineering and the Ministry of National Defense on motorcycle, armored vehicles, and transportation; and implemented the direction of the industry in a systematic and effective manner.

The highlight is that it has proactively grasped and forecasted the situation, advised the Party Committee, and commanded the General Department of Logistics and Engineering to propose to the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to effectively carry out the tasks of ensuring technical support for motorbikes and armored vehicles throughout the army, well performed regular and unexpected strategic transportation work, and strictly maintained the industry's work order.

In particular, in a short time, it advised the General Department of Logistics and Technology and the Ministry of National Defense to purchase thousands of motorbikes and distribute them to military forces in communes and wards when organizing local governments at two levels to ensure timely delivery.

Along with performing international tasks well, the units focus on transporting relief and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in areas affected by storms, floods and inundation.

In his speech, Major General Phung Ngoc Son requested the commander of the Department of Motorcycles and Transport to take leadership and direction measures to promptly overcome the limitations and shortcomings pointed out at the conference; Party committees and commanders at all levels must regularly inspect, urge, and evaluate results, ensuring that limitations and shortcomings are completely overcome.

To successfully carry out the 2026 tasks, Major General Phung Ngoc Son requested the Department of Motorcycles and Transportation to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Logistics and Engineering on military and defense tasks.

Along with improving staff work and making recommendations to the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the General Department of Logistics and Engineering in directing the assurance of technical work on motorcycles and armored vehicles, the Department of Motorcycles and Transport needs to perform well the state management function of the industry on ensuring traffic safety in the Army.

In addition, the Department of Motorcycles and Transport needs to thoroughly grasp and implement the key tasks of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering on adjusting the organization and staffing in 2026; focus on building an annual work plan close to the tasks of the Department and the Motorcycles and Transport industry.

Continue to effectively implement programs, projects and plans of the logistics-technical sector; direct the organization to well implement strategic transportation work, especially in transporting new soldiers in early 2026, ensuring the 14th National Party Congress and important events of the country.

Along with strictly maintaining order in all aspects of work to ensure safety in all activities, leaders and commanders of the Department of Motorcycles and Transport need to thoroughly grasp the work of ideological management and discipline of officers and soldiers, striving to have no serious incidents that need to be handled.
