Da Lat opens more parking lots for the Flower Festival.

The People's Committee of Da Lat City ( Lam Dong province) has instructed the People's Committees of the wards to urgently work and coordinate with management units to open parking areas at some schools and locations in the area.

Parking demand in Da Lat is expected to increase significantly during the Flower Festival.

Accordingly, it is planned to have 8 temporary paid parking areas, including: 3 areas in the Pham Hong Thai planning zone, the grounds of Da Lat Teacher Training College (Ward 10), the grounds of Thang Long Specialized High School (Ward 3), the grounds of the former Vocational College (Ward 4), and the roads within the Lam Dong Provincial Cultural and Sports Center planning zone (Ward 6 and Ward 7).

The People's Committees of the wards, in coordination with the managing units, will temporarily manage and operate the paid parking lots in the city center during the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2024 Flower Festival.

During December 2024 – the period of the Flower Festival – the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee will prohibit vehicles with more than 29 seats from circulating on Tran Quoc Toan Street, the road around Xuan Huong Lake (except for the section from the Yersin – Tran Quoc Toan intersection to the Tran Nhan Tong – Tran Quoc Toan intersection).

The ban will be in effect from 5 AM to 11 PM daily until after December 31st. At the same time, electric vehicles used for transportation (taxis, contract vehicles with fewer than 9 seats) are permitted to park and pick up/drop off passengers at public parking spaces (free parking lots) on Tran Quoc Toan Street.

The 10th Da Lat Flower Festival in 2024 is scheduled to open on the evening of December 5th at Lam Vien Square with many spectacular and elaborately staged artistic programs. The main stage is inspired by the wild sunflower and will feature performances by many famous artists.

The opening night also featured a light show from 500 drone lights. Lam Dong province expects to attract approximately 2 million visitors during the month the Da Lat Flower Festival takes place.
