Tsinghua University, China awarded Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh the title of 'Honorary Professor'

On the morning of March 2nd, at the Government headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training , and Hanoi National University, in collaboration with Tsinghua University (China), held a ceremony to confer the title of "Honorary Professor" from Tsinghua University on Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

The Prime Minister was awarded this title for the significant contributions of the Vietnamese Party, Government, and the Prime Minister personally to the remarkable development of the Vietnamese economy and cooperation between Vietnam and China in recent years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Professor Khieu Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, emphasized that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is a leader with international influence, who, since assuming the position of Prime Minister, has led the Vietnamese Government in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

With the goal of stabilizing the macroeconomy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, and ensuring major balances, the Vietnamese government has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in socio-economic development and improving people's lives in Vietnam.

Furthermore, under the attention and guidance of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Chinese Premier Li Qiang, Vietnamese and Chinese ministries, sectors, and localities have closely and actively coordinated in implementing the common understanding of the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries; promoting the building of the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, continuously deepening and achieving tangible results.

"Through serious research, and based on the achievements of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in the field of economic development and his significant contributions to Sino-Vietnamese cooperation, Tsinghua University would like to confer the prestigious title of 'Honorary Professor' upon Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh," Professor Khuu Dung expressed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his honor in receiving the title of "Honorary Professor". The Prime Minister emphasized that the awarding of this prestigious title is not only a tribute from Tsinghua University but also demonstrates the respect of the Chinese Communist Party, the Chinese government, and the Chinese government for the contributions of the Vietnamese Party and State in steadfastly pursuing the cause of reform and building socialism.

According to the Prime Minister, this title is also a recognition from the Chinese side of the Vietnamese Government's efforts in promoting the "close relationship between Vietnam and China, being both comrades and brothers".

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh respectfully thanked the Party, State, key leaders of all periods, and General Secretary To Lam for creating favorable conditions for him to study, work, and improve his knowledge to serve the Fatherland and the People.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the Vietnamese Government is ready to closely coordinate with the Chinese Government to promote the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance and continuously develops stably and healthily according to the "6 more" orientation agreed upon by the two sides' senior leaders; bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries, contributing to peace and stability in the region.
