The 6th Congress of Delegates of the Youth Union of Tho Xuan District, term 2024-2029

On June 16th and 17th, the Tho Xuan District Youth Union solemnly held its 6th Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term. Comrade Le Van Chau, Provincial Party Committee member, member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, and Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, attended and delivered a guiding speech at the congress.

During the 2019-2024 term, the Youth Union's work and youth movement in Tho Xuan district have made comprehensive progress, with all 10 targets achieved and exceeded. Particularly noteworthy is the "I Love My Homeland" movement, which has been implemented comprehensively and widely, yielding many practical results and attracting a large number of members and young people to participate. This has strongly promoted the pioneering, volunteer, and creative spirit of young people for the benefit of the community.

Programs supporting young people in establishing themselves and their careers have been actively implemented, creating more jobs for rural workers and contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality.

The work of building and strengthening the Youth Union organization continues to be emphasized; the united front for gathering young people has been expanded; and the position and role of the Youth Union organization are increasingly affirmed.

Leaders of Tho Xuan district presented flower baskets from the District Party Committee, District People's Council, and District People's Committee to congratulate the congress.

With the achievements and results obtained during the term, the Vietnam Youth Union of Tho Xuan district has been awarded Certificates of Merit annually by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union Committee has awarded the Emulation Flag for outstanding achievements in Youth Union work and youth movements. It has also been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee and the government from the district to the grassroots level.

With the action slogan "Aspiration - Pioneering - Unity - Creativity - Development," the Congress discussed and unanimously agreed on the goals and directions for the 2024-2029 term. Among these goals is to build a generation of Tho Xuan youth with revolutionary ideals and firm political convictions; to develop healthily, comprehensively, and harmoniously in terms of intellect, physical health, spirit, and responsibility to meet the demands of the new era. The goal is to continue building and strengthening the Youth Union organization, expanding the front of unity, gathering a wide range of youth; caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of youth; encouraging youth to pursue great ambitions, cultivate virtue and talent, establish themselves and their careers; promoting the talents and youthful energy of youth in international integration, preserving national cultural identity, developing the economy and society, and defending the Fatherland, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous Tho Xuan homeland.

In their guiding remarks at the Congress, Comrade Le Van Chau, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, and President of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union, and Comrade Le Dinh Hai, Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council of Tho Xuan district, acknowledged, praised, and congratulated the outstanding achievements of the youth of Tho Xuan district in the work of the Youth Union and youth movements during the 2019-2024 term.

The comrades suggested that the District Youth Union continue to innovate and diversify its methods of operation and effectively carry out the work of educating young people on patriotic traditions, ethics, and lifestyles, especially the timely and effective implementation of the Directives and Conclusions of the Politburo, the Central Party Secretariat, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening the leadership of Party committees at all levels over youth work in the new situation, in conjunction with the implementation of Conclusion No. 01 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05 on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style.

Continue to promote and develop the pioneering, volunteer, and creative spirit of youth, striving to closely link the activities of the Youth Union with the practical requirements of the new period, especially the task of socio-economic development, actively participating in the "All People Protect National Security" movement, building advanced new rural areas, civilized urban areas, building a cultured lifestyle, joining hands to protect the environment, participating in maintaining security, order, and social safety, and contributing many opinions to building the Party and the government.

In a spirit of democracy and responsibility, the Congress elected 41 individuals to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Tho Xuan District, term VI, 2024-2029.

The Congress also held consultations to elect delegates to attend the 7th Provincial Youth Union Congress, term 2024-2029, which will be held in the near future.
