On January 27th, at the headquarters of the Thanh Khe Dong Ward People's Committee (Thanh Khe District), the Da Nang City People's Court held a mobile trial to hear the first-instance case against defendant Le An (30 years old, residing in Xuan Ha Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City) for the crime of "Murder" and Ngo Duc Minh (29 years old, residing in Tam Thuan Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City) for the crime of "Intentional infliction of injury".

According to the indictment, Le An was an employee at the TK karaoke bar (located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, Xuan Ha Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang City). Around 11:00 AM on August 5, 2023, while calculating the bill, Huynh Dinh Van (a customer at the bar) asked An to reduce the room rate, but An refused, leading to an argument between the two. Afterward, Van left.
On the afternoon of August 5, 2023, Van brought a knife and called Ngo Duc Minh to invite him to a fight. At 4 PM that same day, Van called An and arranged to meet behind the TK karaoke bar to talk.
Here, the two continued to argue. Seeing this, Minh pulled out a knife and slashed An's left hand twice. After that, An ran into the karaoke bar while Van and Minh left the scene.
At approximately 4:15 PM on August 5, 2023, Van returned to the karaoke bar to meet An, and the two continued to argue. At this time, An stabbed Van once in the right side with a knife.
The two struggled, and Văn stepped back, causing him to trip and fall. Ân then continued to stab Văn repeatedly with the knife, hitting him in the face, neck, and arms.
Van ran towards the front of the karaoke bar, and An continued to chase him, stabbing him repeatedly with a knife... As a result, Van died on the way to the hospital.
After deliberation, the court sentenced Le An to life imprisonment for "murder," ordering him to compensate the victim's family 300 million VND for funeral expenses and emotional distress, and to provide child support of 1.5 million VND per month until the child reaches 18 years of age. The court sentenced Ngo Duc Minh to 2 years and 6 months in prison for "intentionally causing injury."
