Conference Overview.

In recent years, localities in 11 mountainous districts and 6 coastal districts of Thanh Hoa province have mobilized many resources to invest in upgrading commercial infrastructure and transport infrastructure, thereby creating favorable conditions for connecting trade, distributing goods and promoting product consumption. Up to now, the districts have built a system of 178 markets, nearly 200 stores selling safe food and tens of thousands of stores selling essential goods. In particular, the province has developed 275 products meeting OCOP standards, thereby contributing to enhancing the brand value and competitiveness of local products.

In parallel, Thanh Hoa province has actively implemented trade promotion activities, connecting product supply and demand, organizing fairs, supporting programs to build Vietnamese point-of-sale models and encouraging businesses to digitally transform and apply e-commerce. These efforts have helped total retail sales of goods and service revenue in mountainous, remote and island areas to continuously grow year by year, contributing significantly to the overall development of the province.

At the conference, delegates discussed and pointed out some remaining difficulties such as: the goods distribution chain system has not developed synchronously, many policies are not really suitable, so they have not attracted large enterprises to invest. Opinions also proposed many practical solutions, such as increasing capital support, improving preferential policies, building a modern logistics system, as well as promoting local specialty products.
