At the press conference, comrade Nguyen Nam Hai, Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the 1st Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award 2024 reported on the progress of the Award implementation to the delegates.
Accordingly, immediately after the 14th Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Council issued Resolution No. 07/2022/NQ-HDND, Regulations on the content and expenditure levels of the Huynh Thuc Khang Journalism Award and the Thai Nguyen Provincial Literature and Arts Award, the Standing Agency of the Award (Provincial Journalists Association) advised and proposed documents related to the organization of the Award, issued documents according to regulations, ensuring a full legal basis for the organization of the Award. Organized a meeting of the Organizing Committee and a press conference to widely propagate and promote the Award. Comrade Nguyen Bao Lam, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association , Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee chaired the Press Conference.
Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Son, Editor-in-Chief of Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Vice President of the Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award also informed about the award rules. Accordingly, the first Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award of Thai Nguyen Province in 2024 will have a wide range of participants. With 4 main press genres including: Print, Visual, Spoken and Electronic Newspaper. Each author and group of authors can participate in 2 works for each press genre. Works eligible to participate in the award are works used for the first time within 2 years (from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023). Award structure: Special prize (if any); A, B, C and consolation prizes with the highest expenditure up to 20 times the current basic salary (36 million VND)….
At the press conference, delegates discussed issues that needed clarification such as the duration of entries for each category, the number of entries for each author, the selection records of each agency during the preliminary selection process, etc. The issues were received and clarified by the Organizing Committee.
At the end of the press conference, comrade Nguyen Bao Lam, member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association; Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Award emphasized that the 1st Huynh Thuc Khang Press Award of Thai Nguyen province in 2024 is a place to honor journalism with a large award structure.
At the same time, the Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Award called on central and local press agencies to promote and widely disseminate information about the Award. The Organizing Committee will support and accompany authors in all matters when submitting works for participation.
