Proposal to relocate the construction site of Vinh Hao expressway rest stop

Rest stop Km 144+560 on Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway faces many problems in site clearance, Tuy Phong district proposes to move to a new location.

On January 15, at a regular press conference on the socio-economic situation in the last 6 months of 2024 and the implementation of tasks for 2025, leaders of Binh Thuan province said that up to now, the rest stop at Km 144+560 on Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is still facing difficulties and has not completed site clearance procedures.

The contractor is constructing a rest stop on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet highway, while another station at Km 147+560 has not yet been handed over.

According to the plan, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway is to build two rest stops. Up to now, only the rest stop at Km205 (Ham Thuan Bac district) has been handed over the site and is under construction.

Only station Km 144+560 (Tuy Phong district) has not completed the site handover work.

A representative of Tuy Phong District People's Committee said that currently, the work of verifying and finding land users to serve the site clearance and construction of the rest stop at Km 144+560 is still facing many difficulties and complications, and is unlikely to ensure the required handover progress as prescribed.

Tuy Phong District People's Committee has reported on difficulties and problems in the proposed adjustment of the planned location at Km 144+560, North-South Expressway in Phong Phu Commune.

At the same time, the district proposed to move the rest stop location at Km 144+560 to the location at Km 147+500, which was agreed upon with Project Management Board 7.

Recently, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province held a meeting to listen to reports on the situation and progress of compensation and site clearance for the investment project of two rest stops on the North-South expressway, Eastern section, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet.

The Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to coordinate with the Department of Planning and Investment and Tuy Phong District People's Committee to specifically review difficulties and problems, consider... propose solutions and finalize plans in January.
