Proposal to add more intersections on Bien Hoa Expressway

On September 11, according to the Cai Mep - Thi Vai Port Traffic Project Management Board, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province issued a notice of the Provincial Party Committee's conclusion agreeing to the investment policy for the intersection of component project 3, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway with provincial road 991 through Phu My town, also known as My Xuan - Ngai Giao - Hoa Binh road. The purpose is to improve the traffic connectivity of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.

The progress of the expressway through Ba Ria - Vung Tau has reached over 45%, the road has taken shape.

The Cai Mep - Thi Vai Regional Traffic Project Management Board proposed that the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province send a document requesting the Prime Minister to allow the addition of the above-mentioned intersection to the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project, phase 1, for synchronous implementation.

It is known that previously, at working sessions with the National Assembly delegation and the Ministry of Transport , the leaders of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province also proposed adding more intersections on the expressway, with the aim of connecting conveniently with intra-provincial roads, Cai Mep - Thi Vai inter-port road, National Highway 51...

This is to create the most favorable conditions for people when traveling on these routes. At the same time, it helps transport goods to and from ports faster. In the case of component project 3 through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, if put into operation before the remaining component projects, it will also ensure traffic and promote the function of this route.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway has a total length of 53.7km, passing through Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces. Of which, the section passing through Dong Nai is 34.2km long, divided into two component projects 1 and 2. The section passing through Ba Ria - Vung Tau is nearly 20km long.

According to the planning, the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway has 10 intersections, of which the section through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has 4 intersections. The contractor is constructing the intersections between the expressway and National Highway 56, Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, the road to Chau Pha and Phu My intersection to put into operation in 2025. The province has requested to add the planning to the intersection between the expressway and Provincial Road 991.

Currently, the section through Ba Ria - Vung Tau has been 100% handed over, the output has reached 45%. Roads and bridges have taken shape, many sections have been reinforced with cement, watered for adhesion, waiting for favorable weather to be paved.

As for the expressway through Dong Nai, only about 2/3 of the land has been handed over, but the project is patchy, so the progress is slow, with only 5% to more than 20% of the basic packages completed.
