These days, many people inside and outside Dong Thap province have come to the Truong Dinh Uprising sites to burn incense, commemorate, and show their gratitude and respect to National Hero Truong Dinh in his fight against foreign invaders, on the occasion of the 161st anniversary of his death (August 20, 1864 - August 20, 2025) taking place from August 19-20.
Particularly at Truong Dinh Temple in Gia Thuan Commune, Dong Thap Province, the annual death anniversary usually attracts thousands of people from inside and outside the province to attend. According to the Truong Dinh Temple Worship Committee, during the 2024 death anniversary (August 19-20), there will be about 2,500-3,000 visitors.
People in the area of Truong Dinh's resistance sites in particular and Go Cong (where he raised an uprising) in general, on the occasion of his death anniversary, also set up an altar in front of their houses or gathered to pay their respects and commemorate the hero who sacrificed his life for a great cause.

In 2024, the Truong Dinh Uprising sites in the province were recognized as Special National Monuments by the Prime Minister according to Decision 694/QD-TTg dated July 18, 2024, including: Truong Dinh's tomb and temple (Go Cong ward); Truong Dinh temple, Dark Leaf Dam (Gia Thuan commune), Dinh Pond (Tan Dong commune); Phao Dai rampart (Phu Tan commune), Dong Thap province.
The Fortress Relic and the Dark Sky Leaves Relic are the places where the national hero Truong Dinh established his base to revolt against the French colonialists. This is where the leader of the insurgent army Truong Dinh wrote a proclamation calling on all classes of people and scholars of the six provinces of the South to rise up and contribute their efforts to fight against the invasion of the French colonialists. The historical relic of Ao Dinh, where the national hero Truong Dinh committed suicide, has become a national relic and is visited by many people.
Truong Dinh Temple is located in Hamlet 2, Gia Thuan Commune, Dong Thap Province, where he is worshiped - the person who opened up the Go Cong area. This is considered his second hometown (next to his hometown in Quang Ngai Province), where he grew up, made a living and fought against the French colonialists.
In 2023, the old Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province) invested 14 billion VND to implement the phase 2 project of the Truong Dinh National Hero Temple, including planting trees, recreating the landscape of the "Dark Leaves" area, a model of the insurgent base, a memorial yard... to help this place become a place to educate the young generation about patriotic traditions and attract visitors and tourists.
