On the morning of December 3, continuing the 10th Session, the National Assembly worked in the Hall on the implementation results of the Resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning.
At the hall, State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan presented a report on the implementation of a number of resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning.
The State Audit has promoted administrative reform, innovated methods and ways of organizing audits, strongly applied information technology in all activities, especially using artificial intelligence and big data analysis in auditing work. Strictly publicized audit results, lists of organizations and individuals that are slow to implement or have not yet implemented audit recommendations. Promptly urged and removed difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing audit recommendations.
The State Audit has also closely coordinated with the Government Inspectorate , ministries, branches and localities in handling overlaps between inspection and auditing activities, promptly providing audit reports to serve the supervision, inspection, examination and investigation work of the National Assembly and relevant agencies.
"The State Audit has focused on auditing hot issues that are of interest to public opinion and voters, and areas with high potential risks, prone to corruption, waste, and negativity," said State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan.
At the same time, to strengthen the audit of contents related to urban planning and land use management, the State Audit has selected audit topics focusing on evaluating planning work, construction licensing, management of land revenue, management of land use, arrangement and handling of real estate, etc.
In particular, to strengthen the audit of waste prevention content, the State Audit has issued many documents guiding and directing implementation, requiring each audit to clearly identify acts and manifestations of waste, indicate subjective and objective causes and responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals, and at the same time recommend measures to handle and overcome consequences.
State Auditor General Ngo Van Tuan also stated that the State Audit pays special attention to controlling the performance of public duties, professional ethics and codes of conduct of State Auditors, in order to promote the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity in the industry. All audits are 100% quality controlled. At the same time, many direct inspections and controls are organized at audit teams.
The auditing sector has been synchronously implementing many solutions to improve the quality of operations, considering public service quality and ethics as the motto of action, the core standards that are regularly and thoroughly implemented throughout all activities of the State Audit.
In the coming time, the State Audit will continue to closely follow the leadership and direction of the Party, the State, and the National Assembly, strongly innovating auditing methods based on the strong application of science and technology, information technology, and digital transformation. Focus on auditing topics and hot areas of interest to public opinion and voters, in order to improve the efficiency of management and use of public finance and public assets, contributing to the prevention of corruption, waste, and negativity.

Giving opinions at the meeting, many delegates highly appreciated the great efforts of the State Audit in strengthening financial and budgetary discipline and preventing and combating corruption and negativity as required by the National Assembly. At the same time, delegates proposed many solutions to improve the law and strengthen the coordination mechanism between functional agencies.
Delegate Nguyen Tam Hung (Ho Chi Minh City) proposed to improve the effectiveness of coordination between the State Audit and inspection, investigation and control agencies of the Party and State, especially in sharing databases and handling signs of violations during the audit process.
“The State Audit has initially applied artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze data in digital bidding packages. The test results show that AI can quickly point out deviations in the estimated volume. This is the right direction and needs to be expanded to high-risk areas such as public investment, land, environment and digital transformation,” the delegate commented.../.
