The Marketing and English Language majors at Nha Trang University have a minimum admission score of 30 out of 40 based on academic transcripts.
On the afternoon of July 7th, Nha Trang University announced the cutoff scores for admission based on high school transcripts. This is the first year the university has used this method of admission.
The admission score is the average score of four subjects over six semesters of high school. Three subjects are compulsory: Mathematics, Literature, and English. The remaining subject depends on the subject combination for each major. There are a total of 11 subject combinations. Additionally, some majors require an extra English score as a conditional requirement.
According to this calculation method, the maximum score is 40. Marketing and English Language majors both have a cutoff score of 30, provided the English score is 6 or 7 or higher. Some other majors with a cutoff score of 28 include Business Administration, Law, Accounting, Maritime Science , and Information Technology.
The majors with a cutoff score of 22 are Fisheries Science, Fisheries Management, Aquaculture, Thermal Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering. Candidates with an average score of 5.5 per subject have been admitted.
The admission scores based on academic transcripts for various majors at Nha Trang University are as follows:
Dr. To Van Phuong, Head of the Training Department at Nha Trang University, said that this year the university will recruit 3,600 students, similar to last year, but with the addition of two new admission methods: considering the results of the aptitude test organized by Hanoi National University and considering high school academic transcripts. In addition, the university will still consider high school graduation exam scores and direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training .
In 2022, Nha Trang University had the highest admission score based on high school graduation exam results at 21 for the English Language major, while the majors in Fisheries and Environment had the lowest admission score at 15.5 points.
