Among them, the WVI organization is implementing 16 regional programs and projects in the districts of Nhu Xuan, Thuong Xuan, Ba Thuoc, Nhu Thanh, Quan Hoa, and Thach Thanh, with a committed budget of over US$7.7 million for the 2024-2028 period. Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Head of the WVI Organization's representative office in Vietnam, spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Head Representative of WVI in Vietnam, expressed his sincere gratitude to the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province, its departments and agencies, and the People's Committees of districts and communes for their active and effective cooperation in implementing WVI's programs and projects. It is thanks to this strong cooperative relationship that WVI has been able to implement many initiatives with profound impacts on the lives of children. During the field visit to Nhu Xuan, we all witnessed firsthand the positive impacts of WVI's programs not only on children but also on the community as a whole.

Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay highly appreciated the effective coordination that helped programs and projects be implemented on schedule and in line with the development orientation of the localities. Through the support in emergency relief after Typhoon Yagi, the WVI organization helped affected households receive timely assistance to restore their lives. The support in opening a microfinance branch in Ba Thuoc district has enabled low-income households to access capital and contributed to promoting sustainable economic development. Currently, the WVI organization is promoting the opening of a new regional support program in Muong Lat district and conducting surveys for a new program in Nhu Xuan district. Therefore, in the future, the WVI organization hopes to continue receiving the attention and cooperation of Thanh Hoa province through guidance and support from the provincial to district and commune levels, so that regional programs, projects, and microfinance branches can operate effectively and be aligned with the local development priorities. At the same time, timely information, especially in the context of restructuring the government apparatus at all levels, helps the WVI team adapt and maintain the effectiveness of program implementation.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, sincerely thanked Mr. Doseba Tua Sinay, Head Representative of the WVI Organization in Vietnam, and the WVI delegation for taking the time to participate in the field survey in Nhu Xuan district. He also highly appreciated the positive effects of the foreign non-governmental aid programs and projects being implemented in the province. Although the projects are small in scale, they provide direct support, contributing to improving living standards and raising awareness among a segment of the population, especially the poor and children in the project areas. The project funds are used for their intended purpose and effectively. Most projects are implemented on schedule and are highly appreciated by local authorities and the people. The funded projects are very meaningful, bringing benefits and happiness to the people and the community.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, also provided a brief overview of the outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of Thanh Hoa province in 2024 and the first months of 2025. He emphasized that Thanh Hoa province always creates favorable conditions for non-governmental organizations, including the WVI Organization, to operate and support programs and projects assisting people in remote, mountainous, and particularly disadvantaged areas. Investment projects in Thanh Hoa province must meet the conditions stipulated by Vietnamese law, and the province will create the most favorable conditions for projects to be implemented effectively, so that people and communities can benefit. The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, expressed his hope that in the future, the WVI Organization will continue to focus on expanding projects, especially in mountainous districts, focusing on education, clean water, and livelihoods for the people.
