Continuing their working visit to European countries, the high-level delegation from Ha Tinh province, led by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, recently visited Horne Saliby town in Trnava province – the location of a bronze plaque commemorating President Ho Chi Minh, the national liberation hero and outstanding cultural figure of Vietnam. Accompanying them were Comrade Nguyen Tuan - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Slovakia; and Mr. Pavol Dobossy - Mayor of Horne Saliby. Representing Ha Tinh province were Tran Tu Anh, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ha Van Trong, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Colonel Nguyen Hong Phong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee and Director of the Provincial Police; and leaders from several departments, agencies, and businesses in Ha Tinh. |

The town of Horne Saliby, in the Trnava province, is located more than 40 km from Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Sixty-six years ago, during a visit to Slovakia, a high-level delegation of the Vietnamese Party and State, led by President Ho Chi Minh, visited Horne Saliby.

Following his visit, he left a profound impression on the local officials and people. In 2017, the local council and parliamentarians passed a decision to erect a bronze commemorative plaque for President Ho Chi Minh to preserve his memory. Pavol Dobossy, Mayor of Horne Saliby, stated: "Our people still cherish the love and respect we have for President Ho Chi Minh, as well as our affection for Vietnam."

Laying flowers at the memorial plaque dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and members of the delegation thanked the authorities and people of Horne Saliby town for respectfully preserving these precious relics and memories of him. This is a symbol of the loyal and good relationship between the governments and people of Vietnam and Slovakia; a reminder for generations of both nations to cherish and cultivate this relationship to make it even better. This is also a place for Vietnamese people living and studying in Slovakia to remember their homeland and President Ho Chi Minh.
Previously, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai and the delegation of Ha Tinh province visited the Stellantis Trnava Factory and BiZZCOM Company in Trnava province, Slovakia. These are large factories producing, assembling automobiles and supporting technology in Slovakia.
