On the morning of October 14th, as part of their visit and working trip to Ninh Binh , a high-level delegation from Asan City, South Korea, led by the city's mayor, visited and worked with Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company (Tam Diep City) and visited the exemplary farmer Nguyen Van Quyen in Yen Phong commune (Yen Mo district). Accompanying the delegation were leaders from several departments; leaders from Tam Diep City and Yen Mo district.
Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company specializes in the production and trading of fruits, vegetables, and food products. It is also one of the leading fruit and vegetable processing centers in the country, operating a closed-loop production model encompassing agricultural production, processing, and export of fruits and vegetables, with four modern, internationally standardized production lines.
The company has successfully cultivated and processed canned and fresh produce to meet both domestic and export demands. DOVECO's products have been exported in large quantities to numerous countries worldwide, including the USA, Germany, France, the UK, Poland, Portugal, and Mongolia. Simultaneously, the company has demonstrated its strong capacity for international economic integration through annual revenue of 1.15 trillion VND, solidifying its position within the "Club of Enterprises with Trillion-VND Revenue".
Accordingly, the DOVECO Ninh Binh factory has a production capacity of over 32,000 tons of products per year, with export revenue reaching 68.95 million USD; the DOVECO Gia Lai factory has a production capacity of 52,000 tons of products per year, with export revenue reaching 92.95 million USD; and the DOVECO Son La factory has a production capacity of 67,000 tons of products per year, with export revenue reaching 108.95 million USD...
DOVECO is striving to become a key link in Vietnam's agricultural supply chain, acting as a bridge between the international agricultural market and domestic trading companies, producers, farmers, and consumers.
Speaking at the meeting, the Mayor of Asan City congratulated Dong Giao Export Food Joint Stock Company on the achievements it has made in recent years, affirming its position in the global market for fruit and vegetable exports. He was particularly impressed by the visit to the company's pineapple plantation and raw material area. The Mayor expressed his hope that in the future, Korean people will be able to enjoy this fruit in Korea. Therefore, he will promote the nutritional value of pineapples to local people. He also hoped that the company would research and introduce some export products to Korea in the future, strengthening cooperation and promoting mutual development.
The delegation also visited the model farm of Mr. Nguyen Van Quyen in Yen Phong commune (Yen Mo district), which grows netted melons in greenhouses and Korean milk grapes. In 2021, with support from the district, he invested in installing a netted and greenhouse system along with a water-saving irrigation system to grow green and yellow netted melons. On an area of 9,000m2, he harvests 4 crops per year, supplying nearly 30 tons of melons to the market.
In addition, he also planted Korean milk grapes, with the first harvest expected in June next year. He also combined this with experiential tourism and vineyard tours.
