The closing ceremony of the 18th Becamex Group Community Football Tournament - Becamex Group Cup 2025 took place at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center (Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) on the evening of October 18th.
After nearly four months of exciting competition, the tournament concluded successfully, marking a new milestone for the mass sports movement in Ho Chi Minh City in particular and the whole country in general.
Hundreds of matches and thousands of players from companies, factories, schools, and organizations across industrial zones came together to create an explosive, humane, and connecting season.
Earlier, in the final match held in the afternoon at the New City Stadium, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team defeated Nhat Trung 9-2 to win their first ever championship title in the country's largest 11-a-side amateur tournament.
With a squad of experienced players, especially two former national team players, Le Tan Tai and Dao Van Phong, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team proved too strong for Nhat Trung in the final match held earlier at the New City football field.
In the first half alone, striker Quoc Bao scored a hat-trick. Meanwhile, Tan Tai and Van Duy also scored, giving the Ho Chi Minh City Police team a 5-0 lead.
In the second half, coach Bao Tien brought on young players such as Vietnam U17 national team member Nguyen Le Minh Khoi and Ho Minh Khoi. These new talents quickly shone, contributing to the Ho Chi Minh City Police team's 9-2 victory.
In addition to the championship trophy and 100 million VND in prize money, the Ho Chi Minh City Police team also won an individual award for "Best Goalkeeper" for Nguyen Thanh Nam.
Founded and primarily sponsored by Becamex Group, the tournament is held annually with the goal of creating a healthy playground, promoting physical fitness, and fostering camaraderie among workers and employees in the province.
Over 18 seasons, the Becamex Group Cup has become a symbol of the community sports movement and a source of pride for the people of Binh Duong.
