Vinicius is one of 11 players in the FIFPro Team of the Season 2023-2024. However, he was not nominated for the 2024-2025 season, despite his impressive performance.
The Real Madrid striker scored 22 goals and contributed 19 assists in 59 matches for Real Madrid last season.
In addition to Vinicius, Real Madrid has 5 nominees for the best squad including goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kylian Mbappe.
Even veteran Luka Modric - who left Real Madrid to play for AC Milan - is also named.
Champions League defending champions PSG dominate the nominations with 7 people: William Pacho, Marquinhos, Vitinha, Joao Neves, Achraf Hakimi, Nuno Mendes and Ousmane Dembele.
Lamine Yamal and three teammates Pedri, Raphinha and Pau Cubarsi are the Barca players on the nomination list.
It is worth noting that two superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi also appeared on the list of candidates nominated for the FIFPro best team.
The FIFPro World XI was voted for by 26,000 players from 68 countries. It is the only award in the world voted for entirely by professional footballers.
The squad will consist of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards. The remaining place will be awarded to the player with the most votes, regardless of position. The 2024-2025 FIFPro World XI will be announced on November 3.
FIFPro's 2023-2024 Team of the Season includes: goalkeeper Ederson; Dani Carvajal, Virgil Van Dijk, Antonio Rudiger; Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne; Vinicius, Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
