The final match will be played in slow chess. If there is a tie, the two sides will play rapid chess until a winner is determined.

After 3 hours of competition, the result was not surprising. The Vietnamese chess team lost to the home team when two athletes, Lai Ly Huynh and Nguyen Hoang Yen, lost first. With this result, the team won the silver medal.

This is the third silver medal of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 19th ASIAD. Previously, Ngo Huu Vuong (shooting) and Nguyen Van Khanh Phong (gymnastics) were the ones who achieved similar results. The Vietnamese Delegation had 1 gold medal by Pham Quang Huy (shooting) and 12 bronze medals.
