Vietnam futsal team won ticket to the final round of Asian tournament

(Dan Tri) - The 5-0 victory over Nepal this afternoon (October 9) in the Asian futsal qualifying round helped the Vietnamese futsal team quickly secure a ticket to the final round of the continental tournament.

The 2024 Asian Futsal Championship qualifiers in Mongolia will see the Vietnamese futsal team in Group D along with Mongolia, Nepal and South Korea. Among these teams, none is stronger than the Vietnamese futsal team, including the South Korean team, so the team of coach Giuztozzi (Argentinian) has a great chance to qualify for the finals.

This victory, combined with the 6-1 victory of the Vietnamese futsal team against host Mongolia 2 days ago, brought coach Giuztozzi's team to the finals. Also taking a ticket in Group D of the qualifying round to the Asian finals with the Vietnamese futsal team is the Korean team. These two teams each have 6 points, while the other two teams in the group, Mongolia and Nepal, have no points after 2 matches. The Vietnamese and Korean futsal teams will meet on October 11 to determine the top spot in Group D.
