Dong Nai province is stepping up support for farmers in digital transformation.

Leaders of Dong Nai province presented a banner from the Provincial Party Committee to the First Congress of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term 2025-2030.

During the period 2023-2025, more than 10,200 new members were admitted, bringing the total number of farmer association members in the province to nearly 200,000. The movement of farmers competing in excellent production and business activities was vibrant, with more than 61,000 households achieving the title each year. From this movement, Dong Nai farmers contributed tens of billions of VND and thousands of man-days to the construction of new rural areas.

The total capital of the Farmers Support Fund reached over 311 billion VND, and the outstanding entrusted loans through banks exceeded 3,684 billion VND. During this period, more than 30,000 farmers in the area received support to participate in e-commerce platforms; 496 OCOP products established their brands.

One of the breakthrough tasks identified by the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Association for the 2025-2030 term is to promote digital transformation, strongly apply information technology in membership management and association operations, and support members in becoming "digital farmers".

In their remarks at the Congress, Comrade Phan Nhu Nguyen, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Association , and Comrade Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, acknowledged, highly appreciated, and commended the achievements of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Association in recent years, making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.

Mr. Phan Nhu Nguyen, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, delivered a speech at the Congress.

At the same time, it is suggested that all levels of the association actively innovate their propaganda and mobilization work, focusing on supporting farmer members in building cooperative economic models, starting businesses, innovating, digital transformation, and strongly shifting towards organic agriculture, high-tech agriculture, production along value chains linked to traceability and e-commerce, and expanding consumer markets.

Leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association and the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee requested the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Association to continue focusing on building a team of cadres with good qualities, capabilities, and prestige, who are innovative in thinking and capable of mobilizing farmers in the context of the digital economy. All levels of the association should promote patriotic emulation movements, emulation movements among farmers and in rural areas, and participate effectively in national target programs.

Ms. Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, delivered a speech at the Congress.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association regarding the appointment of the Executive Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Farmers' Association, term I, 2025-2030, consisting of 73 members; the appointment of 14 members to the Standing Committee; and the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Huu Nguyen, Member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association, Provincial Party Committee Member, and Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, as Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association.
