Crowds of people on the first day of 'opening the gate of heaven' Am Tien

(CLO) On February 6th, 2025 (the 9th day of the first lunar month), the "gate to heaven" of Am Tien opened for the first time. Thousands of tourists returned to this sacred place to pray for health, good fortune, peace, a year of favorable weather, and bountiful harvests.

Early in the morning on the day the "gate to heaven" opened, crowds flocked to Nua Temple - Am Tien, packed tightly together, yet there was no pushing or shoving. The activities of lighting incense and paying respects by locals and tourists took place in an orderly and respectful manner.

The weather on the morning of February 6, 2025 was chilly and drizzly. However, a large number of tourists visited and offered incense at Nua Temple - Am Tien (Nua Town, Trieu Son District, Thanh Hoa Province).

A long line of people walk around the "gate to heaven". According to folk beliefs, when locals and tourists come to this sacred site, men walk around 7 times and women walk around 9 times to receive good luck and peace.

The area for registering New Year's prayers attracts a large number of visitors.

The activities of offering incense and sightseeing took place in an orderly and safe manner.

Upon reaching the "gateway to heaven" at Am Tien, visitors often touch the stone sphere to pray for good luck and peace.

Nua Mountain - Am Tien (Thanh Hoa), Tam Dao ( Vinh Phuc ), Yen Tu (Quang Ninh), and Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh) are considered four sacred energy points, where heaven and earth meet in our country.

The Nua Mountain - Am Tien historical site is associated with the Trieu Trieu rebellion against the Wu army in 248 AD. The summit of Nua Mountain, where Am Tien cave is located, is a relatively flat area of ​​about 4 hectares in Co Dinh village, Tan Ninh commune (now Nua town), Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province. In 2009, Nua Mountain - Am Tien was recognized as a National Historical Site.
