Tourism contributes to economic growth

Reality from localities shows that resolutions of party congresses at all levels have promptly adjusted goals and tasks to closely follow life, be concise; clarify specific targets, avoiding the situation where resolutions are difficult to implement or are only implemented in form.

In addition to promoting modern industry, the content of resolutions and action programs of Party executive committees at all levels in a number of provinces and cities emphasize the importance of tourism, considering it an important economic sector, contributing to the overall growth of the locality.

The Resolution of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress sets out the requirement to strongly develop a modern, smart, and sustainable urban system associated with urban economic development and high-quality services, trade, and tourism .

The development of high-quality tourism mentioned in the Congress Resolution shows that the Provincial Party Executive Committee has carefully studied the province's strengths in terms of the number of historical relics, cultural heritages, and scenic spots; inherited and promoted good practices and effective models in the previous term.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen province said: The number of tourists to Hung Yen province in the period of 2021-2025 reached 10.6 million people, an increase of 43.24% compared to the period of 2016-2020. Tourism services have developed quite well and increasingly affirmed their position in the economic structure of the province, especially spiritual cultural tourism associated with festivals.

This is an important premise for the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Department to continue advising the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee, and People's Council of Hung Yen province to focus resources on preserving and promoting famous relics of the province; the master plan of Pho Hien ancient urban area associated with tourism development has been approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 744/QD-TTg dated May 27, 2010.

Identifying digital transformation as an inevitable trend in tourism development, the entire Party Committee of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hung Yen province actively applies science and technology and digital transformation in preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage, improving services and utilities.

In particular, the top priority task is to focus on upgrading the province's tourism information portal and smart tourism application, applying virtual reality technology and digitalization in tourism management.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Department and the Department's leaders are researching and developing plans and programs to strengthen coordination, cooperation and linkage in tourism development with neighboring provinces, especially the key triangle of Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh. From there, organize inter-provincial and inter-regional conferences and seminars to promote the strengths of each locality.

In Ca Mau, the Resolution of the Congress of Delegates of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee has prioritized tourism development in the second group of key tasks, aiming to build large, national-scale tourist areas with local characteristics so that tourism truly becomes an important economic sector of the province.

On that basis, the Party Committee and the People's Committee of Bac Lieu ward (Ca Mau province) focus on diversifying tourism services from high-end to affordable, to meet the diverse needs of domestic and foreign tourists.

Also from the requirements of the Provincial Party Congress Resolution, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Da Bac commune (Ca Mau province) are aiming at eco-tourism models, experiencing local marine culture; focusing on connecting the commune's OCOP products to modern retail systems and travel and tourism units.

Recently, the Politburo issued Conclusion No. 203-KL/TW dated November 4, 2025 on continuing to focus on implementing tasks and solutions to ensure the highest level of implementation of the 2025 growth target, creating a solid momentum for sustainable double-digit growth in the coming period and summarizing Resolution No. 05-NQ/TW dated November 1, 2016 of the 12th Party Central Committee.

Entering the new term, Party committees and Party organizations in localities are actively implementing the Central Committee's policies, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, creating momentum, aspirations and a solid stepping stone towards the country's two 100-year goals.
