On November 20th, the Department of Tourism, in coordination with the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, organized a program to announce a cooperation initiative to stimulate tourism titled "Quang Ninh - A Four-Season Destination". The program aims to create a strong recovery momentum for Quang Ninh tourism after the severe impacts of Typhoon No. 3, while also increasing the attraction of tourists to this heritage region towards the end of 2024.
According to Mr. Nguyen The Hue, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Tourism Association, despite still having to overcome the consequences of Typhoon Yagi, Quang Ninh's tourism industry has achieved positive results. Specifically, in the first 10 months of 2024, Quang Ninh welcomed over 16.7 million visitors, including 3 million international visitors, a 20% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Notably, Quang Ninh is nearing its target of welcoming and serving 19 million visitors, including 3.5 million international visitors, in 2024.
According to Mr. Hue, the tourism stimulus program "Quang Ninh - A Four-Season Destination" has been implemented for tourism businesses in the area, and 339 businesses and service establishments have registered for stimulus packages with over 350 product packages. These include 100 accommodation establishments, 63 travel agencies, 67 restaurants and shopping destinations, 10 tourist attractions, 43 cruise ships/tour boats, and 4 transportation service providers. The stimulus program will run from now until the end of 2024, with a range of products and services for tourists offering deep discounts of up to 50%.
Most impressive is Sun Group's series of preferential policies stemming from its high-class, quality ecosystem in Quang Ninh. Accordingly, from now until the end of 2024, visitors to Dragon Park in Sun World Ha Long will receive a 50% discount on entrance tickets, costing only 150,000 VND, applicable to both adults and children; free for children under 1 meter tall.
