The training workshop themed "Day of AI Vietnam: Learning and Teaching Artificial Intelligence Responsibly" is part of a series of events under the Day of AI Vietnam program - an educational initiative byFPT Schools in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to provide free access to artificial intelligence (AI) for millions of Vietnamese teachers and students.

Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, FPT Schools will launch the Day of AI Vietnam program, which includes a series of non-profit activities organized nationwide to disseminate knowledge about responsible AI to teachers and students.
The core difference of the program is that instead of teaching the use of AI tools, it provides teachers and students with the technical concepts and ethical issues behind these tools.
Technology expert Le Ngoc Tuan, Director of Technology Experience at FPT Education Group (FPT Corporation), and Director of Day of AI Vietnam, said: “Through this program, we expect to create a solid foundation of thinking for Vietnamese students, aiming to build a generation of future citizens with sufficient knowledge, skills, and ethical awareness to not only adapt but also proactively shape an increasingly intelligent world.”

Hai Phong is the first locality to cooperate with FPT in implementing the program. FPT Schools aims to share 1 million free AI learning accounts on the Coursera online learning platform by 2027. In Hai Phong alone, the program will provide 50,000 accounts to students and teachers.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dang Hoang Anh, representative of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City, said: “Education needs to equip students with digital thinking, digital skills, creativity, and humanistic and ethical values to use AI. The Day of AI is an important tool to help administrators and teachers access international standards on AI.”

The training workshop provided foundational knowledge, learning materials, and methods for integrating AI into teaching to nearly 270 outstanding teachers from local junior high schools, high schools, and continuing education centers. Following the training, these teachers will become the core force implementing Day of AI Vietnam classes for students in Hai Phong.
The teachers had the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas directly with FPT technology experts, as well as receive direct guidance from the experienced teaching staff of FPT Hai Phong Secondary and High School.
The theoretical framework and practical exercises are engaging, easy to understand, and accessible even to those without a technology background. The lectures are localized, adapted, and supplemented from international Day of AI materials, divided into modules suitable for different grade levels and age groups, making them ideal for teachers to use as teaching materials and visual illustrations in computer science, technology, STEM, and other subjects.

Previously, FPT Schools pioneered the integration of AI into its enhanced training program for 100% of students across the entire system starting in 2023.
With the strong implementation of the Day of AI Vietnam program, FPT Schools hopes to collaborate with teachers to spread knowledge about AI in the right way, so that Vietnamese students not only have early access to AI but also master this technology, developing critical thinking, ethical awareness, and responsibility when using AI.
