Pig price today December 5, 2025: Continues to set new peaks

Pig price today December 5: Slight increase of 1,000 VND/kg in some localities in the North and South. Pig price in the North reached a new peak, reaching 61,000 VND/kg.

Northern live pig price: New peak - 61,000 VND/kg

In the North, the price of live pigs today (December 5) continued to increase slightly in some places, currently fluctuating around 58,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Thai Nguyen and Hung Yen increased by 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the price to the highest level in the region at 61,000 VND/kg.

Ninh Binh, Lao Cai and Dien Bien provinces also increased by VND1,000/kg. After adjustment, Ninh Binh reached VND60,000/kg, while Lao Cai and Dien Bien reached VND59,000/kg.

The remaining provinces including Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Lang Son, Quang Ninh and Son La remained at 59,000 VND/kg. Bac Ninh, Hanoi , Hai Phong and Phu Tho all maintained the purchase price compared to the previous day at 60,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands: Stable

The Central Highlands region today recorded a stable trend, with all localities maintaining the purchase prices of yesterday. The price of live pigs in the whole region is currently fluctuating at 57,000 - 59,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, the highest price of 59,000 VND/kg was maintained in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. The price of 58,000 VND/kg was recorded in Ha Tinh, Da Nang, Quang Ngai and Lam Dong.

Quang Tri, Hue, Gia Lai, Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces all kept the price at 57,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the South: Slight increase in two provinces

The Southern live hog market today only recorded price increases in two localities, the remaining provinces remained stable. The price in the whole region fluctuated at 56,000 - 58,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, Dong Thap and An Giang both increased by 1,000 VND/kg, bringing the price to 57,000 VND/kg (Dong Thap) and 56,000 VND/kg (An Giang) respectively.

Meanwhile, the remaining provinces including Dong Nai, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City kept the price at the highest level in the region of 58,000 VND/kg.

Pig prices in Ca Mau, Vinh Long and Can Tho also remained unchanged at 56,000 VND/kg.
