(GLO) - On the morning of July 29th, the Gia Lai Provincial Journalists Association inaugurated a training course on journalism skills titled "SEO skills for online newspapers and creating television programs using mobile phones".

Attending the opening ceremony of the training course were Mr. Vo Hoang Binh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Mr. Huynh Kien - Editor-in-Chief of Gia Lai Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association; Mr. Tran Quoc Anh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association; representatives from the Department of Information and Communications; and nearly 70 trainees including members, reporters, editors, technicians, and heads of specialized departments from central and local press and media agencies in the province.
Over the course of two days (July 29th and 30th), participants will hear from journalist and Master's degree holder Nguyen Cao Cuong, a part-time lecturer at the Center for Journalism Professional Training ( Vietnam Journalists Association ), who will deliver two main lectures: SEO skills for online newspapers (what is SEO; the goals of SEO; why SEO is needed; SEO on social media, SEO on YouTube, SEO on Facebook, etc.); and skills in creating television programs using mobile phones with various themes, layouts, and narrations.

The training course aims to equip reporters, journalists, and members of press and media agencies in the area with journalistic skills and techniques, and to address the difficulties and concerns that journalists face in presenting articles and television programs to the public.
Speaking at the training course, journalist Huynh Kien expressed his hope that the trainees would participate seriously, grasp the knowledge and skills fully so that they could apply them to their work, meet the requirements and tasks, and align with the trend of digital transformation in journalism in the era of Industry 4.0. Journalist Huynh Kien requested that, starting in August, each reporter and editor of Gia Lai Newspaper apply the knowledge they have learned to their work and produce concrete, high-quality works for publication.
