Leveraging digital technology

Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich has just signed and issued Plan No. 97/KH-UBND on policy communication and promotion of the province's image in 2026 - a strategic step to build the appearance of a new Gia Lai after the merger with Binh Dinh.

Accordingly, the province focuses on introducing outstanding values ​​of history, culture, people and potential for socio -economic development; at the same time, promoting the image of Gia Lai to businesses, investors and international friends. Communication is deployed multi-layered - multi-channel - multi-subject, combining press, digital platforms, documentaries, events, visual publications and modern creative forms.

In addition, Gia Lai promotes visual communication at public places, main roads and tourist areas; contacts major film studios to exploit the scene; publishes publications and documentaries to introduce potential, strengths, tourism products and investments.

The province also increased the application of digital technology such as smart tourism information portal, search optimization keyword set, and deployed the 3K message (No price increase, price pressure; No competition, no customer attraction; No noise pollution, waste) and 3A (Civilized traffic safety, Food safety and hygiene; Safety of life and property) to enhance the tourism experience.

Breakthroughs

Not only stopping at disseminating legal documents, Gia Lai has recently made breakthroughs in policy communication. A number of documentaries and promotional clips ordered by the locality have portrayed the beauty of nature, culture and people with modern materials, targeting young and international audiences.

Another notable event is the Festival “Essence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea 2025” held in Quy Nhon ward on the occasion of National Day September 2. This is a highlight activity after the merger, clearly demonstrating the province’s East-West connection strategy…

In addition, Gia Lai also promotes digital communication campaigns and content creation on new platforms. The contest "Gia Lai Youth with Tourism Development" organized by the Provincial Youth Union is a proof: dozens of young people have made 1-3 minute video clips introducing the beautiful landscape, culture and local cuisine, conveying the message of hospitality to tourists, through creative perspectives.

Videos about Bien Ho, Chu Dang Ya volcano, Eo Gio, wild sunflower season or local cuisine quickly spread and attracted tens of thousands of views. The dynamism of young people in creating digital content has contributed to renewing the way of promoting the image of the province, making it more vivid and emotional for the public.

The province has also developed a set of keywords to optimize search results on the Internet, cooperated with national media platforms and reputable content creators to spread the image of “Gia Lai - New Binh Dinh” to the international community. This is an important step towards the strategy of “digital transformation of local media”, linking policy communication with smart tourism and online investment promotion.

Reaching international standards and building a sustainable image

From the domestic media platform, Gia Lai continues to bring the local image to the world through foreign affairs activities, investment promotion and participation in major international events.

In particular, the highlight is the participation in the World Exhibition EXPO 2025 in Osaka (Japan) in September 2025 - where the provincial delegation introduced coffee, pepper, tea, OCOP products with multilingual clips and art performances imbued with the identity of the Central Highlands - Binh Dinh.

On the sidelines of the EXPO, provincial leaders worked with the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association, Marubeni Lumber Company and Izumisano City government, opening up prospects for cooperation in high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, wood processing, education and tourism.

The province also coordinates with the northeastern provinces of Cambodia to organize cultural and trade exchange programs, with the Le Thanh - Oyadav international border gate being the highlight of border cooperation.

In early August 2025, Gia Lai sent a working delegation to South Korea to sign a memorandum of understanding with partners such as Eric C&C and Midas Holding on automatic ports and agricultural processing. At the same time, a business delegation from Guangxi (China) surveyed raw material areas and signed 7 memorandums of understanding on agricultural product exports (durian, passion fruit, coffee). At the end of September, 8 Gia Lai businesses attended the CAEXPO 2025 Fair in Nanning, expanding the ASEAN market.

On October 23, the province, Becamex and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) organized a Thailand Investment Promotion Seminar in Quy Nhon Ward with nearly 20 Thai enterprises. Here, Gia Lai introduced the potential for East-West connectivity, open incentive policies and signed many memorandums of understanding on cooperation in logistics, processing industry, agricultural products and renewable energy.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Gia Lai has attracted more than 140 new projects with a total registered capital of 78,000 billion VND. International investors from Japan, Korea, and Europe have expressed special interest in the fields of renewable energy, agricultural processing, and eco-tourism...

Recently, the prestigious travel magazine Lonely Planet included Quy Nhon of Vietnam in the list of "Best in Travel 2026", along with a series of outstanding destinations from Brazil, Mexico to Ireland. Quy Nhon (Gia Lai province) is in the top 25 destinations in the world in 2026, with many outstanding destinations such as Eo Gio - Ky Co, Ghenh Rang Tien Sa, Hon Kho, Cu Lao Xanh, and historical relics such as Twin Towers and Banh It Tower...
