World oil prices fell slightly on December 10 as the market watched Ukraine peace talks and US interest rate decisions, amid concerns about prolonged supply.

Recorded on Oilprice at 4:30 a.m. on December 10, 2025 (Vietnam time), Brent oil price was at 62.70 USD/barrel, down 1.60% (equivalent to a decrease of 1.02 USD/barrel).

Similarly, WTI oil price was at 59.11 USD/barrel, down 1.61% (equivalent to a decrease of 0.97 USD/barrel).

World oil prices continued to fall on Wednesday after a nearly 2% drop in the previous session, as the market continued to closely monitor the progress of negotiations towards ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict, along with concerns about abundant supply and the expected US interest rate adjustment decision.

According to the plan, Ukraine will send a revised peace proposal to the US, after a meeting in London between President Volodymyr Zelenskiy and the leaders of France, Germany and the UK.

Tim Waterer, chief market analyst at KCM Trade, said oil prices are holding in a narrow range, awaiting clearer signals from the negotiations: “If the peace process stalls, oil prices could rise; conversely, if progress is made and the possibility of Russian supplies returning to the global market is consolidated, prices are likely to fall.”

The G7 and the European Union are discussing replacing the Russian oil price cap with a comprehensive ban on maritime services, further squeezing Russia's oil export revenues, informed sources said.

Domestic gasoline prices today December 10, 2025

Domestic gasoline prices this morning, December 10, were regulated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance for retail gasoline prices in the adjustment period from 3:00 p.m. on December 4.

Specifically, from 3:00 p.m. on December 4, the price of E5 RON92 gasoline increased by VND534/liter to VND19,822/liter; RON95-III gasoline increased by VND451/liter to VND20,460/liter. In this adjustment period, the price of 0.05S diesel decreased by VND420/liter to VND18,380/liter; the price of kerosene decreased by VND580/liter to VND18,893/liter; the price of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil decreased by VND52/kg to VND13,436/kg.

Also in this operating period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance did not set aside or use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund for E5 RON92 gasoline, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene, and fuel oil.

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the world oil market in this management period (from November 27, 2025 - December 3, 2025) is affected by a number of factors, causing world oil prices in recent days to increase and decrease depending on each product.

The average price of finished petroleum products in the world between the price adjustment period of November 27, 2025 and the adjustment period of December 4, 2025 is: 79,510 USD/barrel of RON92 gasoline used to blend E5 RON92 gasoline (up 2,814 USD/barrel); 81,832 USD/barrel of RON95 gasoline (up 2,276 USD/barrel); 88,582 USD/barrel of kerosene (down 3,324 USD/barrel); 86,098 USD/barrel of 0.05S diesel oil (down 2,416 USD/barrel); 344,576 USD/ton of 180CST 3.5S fuel oil (down 2,004 USD/ton).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance emphasized that the plan to manage gasoline prices aims to ensure that domestic gasoline price fluctuations are consistent with world gasoline price fluctuations; continue to maintain the price difference between E5 RON92 biofuel and RON95 mineral gasoline at a reasonable level to encourage the use of biofuels according to the Government's policy, while ensuring the harmony of interests between market participants.

Since the beginning of 2025, domestic gasoline prices have undergone 46 adjustment sessions, including 20 decreases, 20 increases and 6 opposite sessions.
