After 7 successful seasons, the 8th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon will take place from December 5 to 7. With the message "Run for a superior Vietnam", this year's race will spread its meaning and contribute to building a new, developed Vietnam in an important period for the whole nation.
The number of athletes participating in the tournament has increased day by day, from 4,262 athletes in the first time held in 2017, to the 8th time this year, the tournament is expected to attract over 18,000 athletes, an increase of more than 400%, contributing to creating a playground for cultural and sports exchange for domestic and foreign tourists.

After a long development journey, the tournament has become an annual event, affirming its brand as a typical sports tourism product of the city. At this year's event, athletes will compete on a route passing through 17 iconic landmarks of the city, bringing an exciting experience combining sports, culture and unique tourism, closing the Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2025.
The event was directed by the Department of Tourism, the Department of Culture - Sports and the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation, organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam with the support of Vietnam Technological and Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank), the strategic sponsor from the first season with the mission of continuing to spread the meaning of improving physical and mental health "Running for a superior Vietnam".

Along with the main competition, the new urban area The Global City will continue to be the venue for the Marathon Village and the KIDS RUN event.
