After seven highly successful seasons, the 8th Techcombank Ho Chi Minh City International Marathon will take place from December 5th to 7th. With the message "Running for a Superior Vietnam," this year's race aims to spread the meaning of contributing to building a new, developing Vietnam, rising to prominence during this crucial period for the entire nation.
The number of athletes participating in the tournament has steadily increased, from 4,262 athletes in its first edition in 2017 to over 18,000 athletes expected in this year's eighth edition, a more than 400% increase, contributing to creating a cultural and sporting exchange platform for domestic and international tourists.

The race passes through historical landmarks.
Through a long period of development, the race has become an annual event, establishing itself as a distinctive sports tourism product of the city. At this year's event, athletes will compete on a route passing through 17 iconic landmarks of the city, offering an exciting experience combining sports, culture, and unique tourism, concluding the Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2025.
The event is directed by the Department of Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, and the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation, organized by Sunrise Events Vietnam in collaboration with Techcombank, the strategic sponsor since the first season, with the mission of continuing to spread the meaning of improving physical and mental health with the slogan "Run for a Superior Vietnam".

The community running event was held in support of the city's tourism promotion activities.
Alongside the main competitions, The Global City urban area will continue to host the Marathon Village and the KIDS RUN children's running event. Activities within the framework of the event held here will provide an opportunity for athletes to socialize while spreading the spirit of sportsmanship and a healthy, sustainable lifestyle.

This is one of the city's most distinctive sports and tourism activities, creating a highlight to attract international tourists while also fostering community cohesion and inspiration.
