In addition, the results from HCMC GTB show that Ho Chi Minh City is among the destinations with high awareness in Southeast Asian, Australian and Korean markets. The city holds a prominent position in the urban destination choices of the region, just behind major tourist centers such as Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand) or Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), consolidating Vietnam's position as a leading international destination. Forecasts show that tourists' travel intentions to Ho Chi Minh City will increase significantly in the end of the year and January of the following year, marking an important time for the city's tourism activities.

Ms. Nguyen Cam Tu, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Promotion Center, commented: Through cooperation in researching tourist behavior and analyzing the tourism market, the two units have built a set of market monitoring indicators suitable for the characteristics of Ho Chi Minh City tourism, ensuring the reliability and practical applicability of data for both management agencies and businesses. The initial results help the city better understand the differences between markets, thereby supporting more effective and timely strategic orientation in the context of a rapidly changing market.
