The pressure comes primarily from teachers and the school. The first semester of the 2021-2022 school year is almost over. Parents who have been supporting their children have undoubtedly realized the pressure of completing all the assignments required by the school and teachers, even for first-grade students – those learning online for the first time. As a teacher myself, I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of books and assignments my child had to complete. Just for first-grade Vietnamese, my child had to study one textbook, four workbooks, and one five-line notebook. And that's only volume one. If you consider the whole school year, a first-grade student has to complete two textbooks and eight workbooks, not including the separate writing assignments in the five-line notebook just for Vietnamese.

Every day, in addition to online lessons with the teacher, the child has to submit homework to the Azota website and complete additional assignments given by the teacher on olm.vn. This amount of homework is overwhelming for a first-grade student and forces parents to "intervene" if they don't want to be reprimanded by the teacher, "Why isn't your child completing it?".
Pressure also comes from both family and the students themselves. In reality, many parents today constantly strive to put pressure on their children to be among the top students in their class, to pass entrance exams for selective classes, specialized schools, or prestigious schools. If children already possess exceptional abilities, then appropriate investment from parents will help them develop their potential. However, if a child's abilities are limited, excessive parental expectations create tremendous pressure.
It's time for both schools and parents to reduce the pressure on students, so that their children can become useful members of society, capable of doing honest work and living happily, instead of being driven by the desire for perfect academic records.
