The pressure comes first from teachers and schools. The first semester of the 2021-2022 school year is almost over. Parents who have accompanied their children must have somewhat realized the pressure of completing all the homework required by the school and teachers, even first graders - those who are studying online for the first time. I myself am a teacher but I am also stunned by the number of books and assignments my children have. Just counting the first grade Vietnamese subject, my child had to study 1 textbook, 4 exercise books and 1 5-square notebook. That is only volume 1. If you count the whole school year, a first grader has to complete 2 textbooks and 8 exercise books, not counting the separate writings in the 5-square notebook for Vietnamese alone.

Every day, in addition to online class time with the teacher, the child will have to submit homework to the Azota website and do additional homework assigned by the teacher on the olm.vn website. Such a large amount of homework is too much for a first grader and forces parents to "intervene" if they do not want to be reminded by the teacher "Why didn't you finish?".
Pressure also comes from the family and the students themselves. In reality, there are parents who always want and put pressure on their children to be the best in class, to pass the entrance exam to a selective class, a specialized school, or a famous school. If the children already have outstanding qualities, then the appropriate investment from parents will help them develop their abilities. But if the children's abilities are limited, the excessive expectations of parents will create terrible pressure for them.
It's time for both schools and parents to reduce the pressure on students and their children to become useful members of society, capable of doing honest work and living happily instead of expecting dreamlike achievement numbers.
