According to the report of the Department of Health , currently the whole province has 84,386 subjects receiving monthly social allowances, with a total budget of nearly 490 billion VND. In addition, there are 12,210 households/individuals directly caring for and nurturing social protection subjects, with a payment budget of more than 45 billion VND.

The working delegation of the Provincial People's Council led by Ms. Tran Thi Huynh Dao, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Committee, worked with the Provincial Department of Health.

The payment of subsidies has been decentralized to the grassroots level, ensuring compliance with regulations; approval and management of beneficiaries are strictly implemented. Units coordinate with the Provincial Post Office to make full, timely and correct payments to beneficiaries.

Accordingly, the representative of the Department of Health also recommended that it is necessary to increase the level of food support to improve the quality of meals for sponsored subjects; Consider issuing health insurance cards quickly and promptly to facilitate medical examination and treatment; Increase the level of support for those who directly care for and nurture at facilities and centers.

The leaders of the Department of Health received the delegation and reported on the implementation of subsidy payments to social protection beneficiaries.

Recognizing and appreciating the results achieved by the Department of Health in coordinating the implementation of social assistance policies, Ms. Tran Thi Huynh Dao, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee, suggested that in the coming time, the Department of Health should pay attention to building and adjusting policies and regimes suitable to the new situation; promulgating reasonable nutritional menus with clear support levels; coordinating with Social Insurance to redefine the groups of beneficiaries. At the same time, make a plan to submit to the Provincial People's Committee to invest in upgrading social protection centers and facilities for the mentally ill. Arrange and rebuild job positions at affiliated protection centers.

The working group affirmed that it will fully absorb the recommendations, synthesize reports to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to study and propose solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles in practice.
