According to the latest report, during the construction of the drainage system in alley 167 Tay Son (Dong Da district, Hanoi ), authorities discovered 408 ceramic urns.
On the morning of November 25th, Ms. Hua Thi Xuan Lien, Chairwoman of the Quang Trung Ward People's Committee, reported to the Dong Da District (Hanoi City) about the discovery of several ceramic urns during construction work at Alley 167 Tay Son.
According to reports, the area around alley 167 Tay Son Street frequently experiences flooding. After each rainstorm, the water level rises above knee height, overflowing into people's homes, damaging property, and significantly impacting residents' lives.
This area has three apartment blocks, many small houses, numerous office buildings, and the Trade Union University dormitory, making it a very densely populated area. Therefore, addressing the flooding issue is extremely urgent, and residents have repeatedly petitioned the authorities at various levels.

In 2024, the People's Committee of Quang Trung Ward was assigned as the investor to implement a project to improve the ward's infrastructure, including the addition of a drainage system and road surface improvement in the area of Alley 167 Tay Son Street to address the urgent and pressing flooding problem there.
According to the leaders of Quang Trung ward People's Committee, during the construction of the drainage system, the workers discovered 408 ceramic urns.
To date, the Hanoi City Funeral Committee has assisted in the relocation and burial of 138 ceramic urns at Yen Ky Cemetery (Ba Vi District).
Quang Trung Ward is expected to complete the relocation of the remaining ceramic urns between December 1st and 3rd.
The leaders of Quang Trung Ward People's Committee also stated that the road excavation phase has been completed. After placing the foundation stones on the surface, the construction unit will continue to complete the culvert construction and road surface restoration.
According to the Chairman of the Quang Trung Ward People's Committee, because it was known that this area had encountered more or less small earthenware fragments during any construction project in the past, the discovery of the aforementioned ceramic urns did not cause panic among the residents.
Over 200 sets of human remains have just been discovered in the middle of Hanoi.
