Notably, at 8:00 AM this morning (December 12th), the monitoring station at the Parabol Gate of Hanoi University of Technology on Giai Phong Street recorded an AQI of 278 - a very poor level, almost reaching the hazardous level (301-500) - a level that seriously affects health.
At the Nhan Chinh Park - Khuat Duy Tien monitoring station, the AQI was recorded as lower but still within the unhealthy range (AQI at 7 am was 176). At this level, normal people begin to experience health effects, while sensitive groups may encounter more serious health problems.

Compared to previous days, air quality today is worse, with PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations at alarming levels.
These figures will vary depending on the time and weather conditions, traffic volume, and production activities. Among the air pollutants, fine particulate matter (FPA) accounts for a high percentage; people need to wear masks or specialized masks that block FPA to protect their health, and also limit outdoor activities.
To mitigate air pollution, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has requested localities to urgently implement the following measures: increase the frequency of street sweeping, dust removal, and water spraying; strictly control construction activities and material transportation; monitor industrial and craft village emissions with high levels of air pollution; strictly penalize the burning of garbage and straw; strengthen communication and health warnings for the public; use UAVs and satellite imagery to detect emission points; organize inter-agency inspections and publicly disclose violations. Provinces and cities must report weekly results as directed by the Government.
