The Director of the City's Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, Nguyen Sy Truong, extended his best wishes to the abbots, senior monks, and all Buddhist followers.
The Director of the Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs of Hanoi City presented a flower basket from the Hanoi City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, affirming that Buddhism has made positive contributions to the overall development of the capital and the country. He also highly appreciated the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, especially the temples that organized the Vu Lan Festival solemnly and meaningfully, demonstrating a deep concern for preserving and promoting the beautiful traditional cultural values of the nation.

Comrade Nguyen Sy Truong expressed his hope that in the coming time, religious leaders will continue to encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhists to uphold the tradition of unity, effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, promote patriotic emulation movements and social welfare work, contributing to consolidating the great national unity bloc even more strongly, and contributing even more to the socio -economic development of the city.
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Venerable Thich Thanh Nha, and Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem all emphasized that this year's Vu Lan Festival (Filial Piety Festival) is even more meaningful as it coincides with the National Day on September 2nd. This is a special intersection between the nation's tradition of filial piety and the country's patriotic and peaceful spirit. The Buddhist spirit of filial piety and the national spirit of unity have blended together, creating a sacred and proud holiday.

The Venerable Monks expressed their sincere gratitude for the affection and attention of the city's leaders over the past period, which has facilitated the effective operation of the Vietnam Buddhist Association and its temples, achieving many important results; they affirmed that they will continue to work alongside the city in the construction and development of the capital.
