TNGo Company, the unit assigned by Hanoi to be the project owner, said that from December to the first quarter of 2026, the Company will bring more than 5,000 electric bicycles to the Hanoi Opera House. These electric bicycles will be placed in convenient locations for people to easily access. Unlike electric bicycles on the market, public electric bicycles have removable batteries that can be charged and exchanged at public charging stations, users do not have to bring the bicycle home to charge.
Users just need to download the app, register an account, top up and scan the QR code to unlock the bike. Each bike is equipped with a helmet. The service rents mechanical and electric bicycles by the hour, by the day, by the month at prices approved by Hanoi authorities.
The introduction of public electric bicycles marks a new step forward in the smart and green transport system in the capital, opening up more convenient, safe and environmentally friendly travel options for people.
