Hanoi implements regional linkage project in biodiversity conservation

On July 2, according to information from Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, the City People's Committee has just issued Official Dispatch No. 3848/UBND-NNMT on implementing the project to strengthen regional linkages in conservation, exploitation and use of biodiversity resources in nature reserves and natural heritages in the Red River Delta.

Accordingly, implementing Notice No. 64/TB-VP of the Government Office announcing the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha at the meeting on projects related to strengthening regional linkages in conservation, exploitation and use of biodiversity resources in nature reserves and natural heritages; Official Dispatch No. 1164/BNNMT-BTDD of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on implementing the project to strengthen regional linkages in conservation, exploitation and use of biodiversity resources in nature reserves and natural heritages in the Red River Delta, the City People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to propagate and disseminate legal knowledge related to conservation and use of biodiversity resources; organize activities to maintain the ecosystem at Huong Son Nature Reserve, to conserve the white-cheeked langur, a rare animal species; deploy measures to conserve wild birds and migratory birds in the Van Lang midland area from 2026-2030.

The city also assigned the Department of Tourism to build a model of eco-tourism linkage between conservation areas in the Red River Delta; develop eco-tourism at Ba Vi National Park, community tourism associated with agriculture and rural areas at the Huong Son relic complex (Huong Pagoda) from 2026 to 2030.

Relevant departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes proactively coordinate to effectively implement tasks according to their functions, especially in the field of nature conservation and natural heritage of the Red River Delta.
