PVcomBank offers the highest interest rate of up to 10% per year.
As of January 18th, PVcomBank was the leading bank in terms of high savings interest rates, reaching up to 10%. This 10% interest rate is applied by PVcomBank under certain conditions, such as a minimum deposit of 2,000 billion VND, deposits made at the counter, a deposit term of 12-13 months, and interest paid at the end of the term.
At this same bank, when depositing at the counter, the interest rate for term deposits from 1 to 60 months ranges from 3.05% to 5.30% per year. Depositing online offers a higher interest rate of 5.60% per year for a 36-month term. For short-term deposits of 1 to 3 weeks, customers receive an interest rate of 0.50% per year.
Wooribank lists interest rates up to 11%.
Wooribank, a South Korean bank, has just introduced a savings package with interest rates as high as 11% per year.
Speaking to Lao Dong newspaper today (January 18), a consultant from Wooribank said that to receive an interest rate of 11%, customers will need to deposit money regularly every month with a minimum of 100,000 VND and a maximum of 5 million VND, for a term of 24 months.
This total interest rate of 11% per year includes: a base interest rate of 7% per year, an additional 1% per year for new customers, an additional 1% per year for opening a Visa card, an additional 1% per year for opening a WON account (online account opening), and an additional 1% for participating in the program without closing the savings account before 6 months.
For regular term deposits, Wooribank applies the highest deposit interest rate of 5.6%/year for terms from 12 months to 24 months. For terms under 12 months, the deposit interest rate is 5.5%/year.
With the Woori V Free savings package, the interest rate for deposits under 12 months is 5.7%/year, and the highest rate is 6%/year for a 36-month term. Wooribank also applies an additional interest rate bonus of 0.3%/year for customers who meet conditions such as using the bank's salary account, automatic monthly money transfers, and accumulating 4 million VND or more each month...
