Low-cost airline HK Express receives first Airbus A321neo

This is the first of 16 A321neo aircraft to be delivered to HK Express, with the airline's latest livery (purple and white), and the aircraft's wings and tail fins sporting the iconic “e” shape.

First Airbus A321neo for low-cost carrier HK Express

The A321neo is part of the A320neo family, incorporating new generation engines and Sharklet wingtips to deliver more than 20% fuel savings and CO2 emissions, as well as a 50% reduction in noise. To date, the A320neo family has received more than 8,600 orders from more than 130 customers worldwide .

Ms. Mandy Ng, CEO of HK Express, said the A321neo’s superior capabilities mean it offers greater capacity and more sustainable performance. At HK Express, the A321neo is key in our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of aviation. Mr. Anand Stanley, President of Airbus Asia Pacific , also highlighted the efficiency and performance of the A321neo, which will help HK Express expand its network while reducing its carbon footprint.

HK Express is operating all Airbus aircraft, with a current fleet of 27 A320 family aircraft including 11 A321ceo, 10 A320neo, 5 A320ceo and this first A321neo.

HK Express has destinations mainly in Asia (Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Cambodia, Taiwan, Singapore) and the US. Its two destinations in Vietnam are Da Nang and Nha Trang.
