Due to the impact of the circulation after Typhoon Yagi and prolonged heavy rain, on September 11, Hanoi Capital University announced that it would adjust students' study time from in-person to online from now until September 15. Based on the weather and actual conditions, the school will have an announcement about students' study in the following period.

Also on September 11, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering announced that it will conduct online teaching and learning from September 11 to September 15, 2024. The school noted that unit leaders should update and receive information on the situation of staff, lecturers, and students and promptly have support plans for difficult cases.

At the same time, Hanoi University of Science and Technology issued a new announcement on adjusting the study plan for students. Accordingly, from now until September 21, the school will organize online teaching for courses 68 and earlier and advanced engineering. For university students of course 69, the school will still maintain the form of direct learning according to the schedule. From September 23, all courses will return to direct learning.

Previously, many training units under Hanoi National University announced that they would switch from in-person classes to online classes due to the complicated flood situation in the North, in order to ensure the safety of learners.

Specifically, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the University of Economics , and the University of Education informed all classes from the afternoon of September 10 to switch from in-person to online until further notice.

The University of Law announced that it will continue to postpone the class schedule for K69 students (new students) until September 16. The week off due to storm No. 3 will be compensated by the reserve week for semester I of the 2024-2025 school year.

The School of Interdisciplinary Sciences and Arts, Vietnam National University, Hanoi allows students to study online from September 11 according to the schedule until further notice.

Along with that, the University of Transport Technology continued to announce that the school will teach online until September 15. Previously, the school had adjusted the student schedule on September 10 from in-person to online due to the complicated weather situation after storm No. 3.

In addition to the above universities, many other higher education institutions in Hanoi and the northern provinces have also adjusted their learning methods to ensure safety and not interrupt students' studies according to the proposed plan.
