After 15 years of implementation, the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign in Quang Nam has achieved many positive results. People's awareness has changed, and Vietnamese goods are more favored thanks to their quality and competitive prices. Businesses are focusing on the domestic market and investing in improving product quality.
The promotion and advertising of OCOP products and local specialties have been intensified. Many trade promotion activities have been organized, connecting businesses with domestic and international markets. The Department of Industry and Trade organized numerous fairs and markets showcasing Vietnamese goods, generating revenue of 198 billion VND. Tourism combined with the promotion of local products has contributed to the growth of tourist numbers.
The startup movement is developing, and the creative startup festival attracts many booths and OCOP products, creating economic momentum. OCOP products, which are characteristic of the locality, are being brought onto e-commerce platforms.
Market inspection and supervision have been strengthened, violations are strictly dealt with, consumers are protected, and Vietnamese goods are asserting their position in the domestic market.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Le Tri Thanh, acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of departments, localities, and businesses in implementing the campaign, achieving many results over the past 15 years.
Mr. Thanh also pointed out challenges affecting the effectiveness of the campaign in the coming time, such as: the limited competitiveness of businesses in the province due to small-scale production, high costs, and difficulty competing in the market; the potential risks of low-quality and unverified products in e-commerce; and the preference for foreign goods and cheap, attractive products among a segment of consumers...
Emphasizing the significance and role of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Le Tri Thanh, requested that departments, agencies, units, and localities, along with the participation of businesses and the support of all strata of the people, continue to promote the campaign so that Vietnamese people produce and consume Vietnamese goods.
