At the historical site, the delegation from the Border Guard Command of Quang Nam province and Da Nang city offered incense and flowers to commemorate the heroes, martyrs, and first officers and soldiers of the Armed Security Department of Quang Nam - Da Nang province, and together recalled the historical traditions of the Armed Security of Quang Nam - Da Nang.
On May 19, 1961, in Bhlô Hiền village, Hiên district, Quảng Nam - Đà Nẵng province (now Bút Tưa village, Sông Kôn commune, Đông Giang district, Quảng Nam province), the Armed Security Committee of Quảng Nam - Đà Nẵng province was established by a decision of the Standing Committee of the Quảng Nam - Đà Nẵng Provincial Party Committee with 7 members, led by Comrade Đinh Ngọc Cân. Despite the small number of members and the extremely harsh and difficult conditions in which they operated and fought, the armed security soldiers of Quảng Nam - Đà Nẵng province remained steadfast and loyal to the Party and the revolution, persistently staying close to the land and the people to build political bases, mobilize and organize the masses to fight against the enemy.
This is an event of lasting historical significance, marking the birth and continuous development of the Border Guard Force of Quang Nam province, and the Border Guard Force of Da Nang city today.
In 2015, the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command constructed the Quang Nam Armed Security Relic Site in Song Kon commune. This site has become a significant location for educating about the traditions of the Border Guard, strengthening military-civilian solidarity, and contributing to raising awareness of responsibility in the cause of building, managing, and protecting national territorial sovereignty and border security.
On this occasion, the Border Guard Command of Quang Nam province and the Border Guard Command of Da Nang city presented 82 gifts to village elders, community leaders, people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor households, and underprivileged students in Song Kon commune.
