Exciting Pickleball Youth Tournament 2024 VINFAST Cup takes place on 6

Vietnamese badminton player Ly Minh Tan previously won a silver medal at the 2024 Asian Open Pickelball Championship in Ho Chi Minh City.

Although a relatively new sport in Vietnam, pickleball is developing at an impressive pace, as evidenced by the growing number of players and the proliferation of courts across the country.

Requiring minimal talent, physical fitness, and endurance, pickleball is considered a community sport, suitable for the general public regardless of age or gender, providing an additional athletic option for people.

With years of experience organizing sporting events, Thanh Nien Newspaper has developed a plan to organize the 2024 Youth Pickleball Tournament - VINFAST Cup, with VINFAST as the main sponsor. The tournament will take place at Lan Anh Club (291 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Ward 12, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City) on July 6-7, 2024.

Vietnamese tennis player Truong Vinh Hien is actively preparing for the tournament.

The tournament is expected to feature 7 events, including 3 events for beginners: Men's Doubles Newbie, Women's Doubles Newbie, Mixed Doubles Newbie, and 4 Super Cup events (bringing together athletes who have won domestic and international Open tournaments), Open Doubles (free registration, except for Super Cup winners), Children under 13 (born after January 1, 2011), and Team events.

Accordingly, the Women's Doubles Newbie, Mixed Doubles Newbie, Open Doubles, and Super Cup events will take place on July 6th, while the Team, Men's Doubles Newbie, and Children's events will be held on July 7th on the courts of Lan Anh Club.

The 2024 VINFAST Cup Youth Pickleball Tournament has an attractive prize pool of up to 500 million VND, including cash and gifts.

Vietnam's pickleball team won two silver and one bronze medal at the Asian Championships.

The winning team in the Team event will receive a trophy, a certificate, a gold medal, and a prize of 30 million VND; the runner-up team will receive a certificate, a silver medal, and a prize of 15 million VND; and the third-place team will receive a certificate, a bronze medal, and a prize of 5 million VND.

The winning pair in the Super Cup will receive a gold medal, gifts, and a prize of 20 million VND; the runner-up pair will receive a silver medal, gifts, and a prize of 10 million VND; and the third-place pair will receive a bronze medal, gifts, and 5 million VND.

The winning pair in the Doubles Open will receive a gold medal, gifts, and a prize of 10 million VND; the runner-up pair will receive a silver medal, gifts, and a prize of 5 million VND; and the third-place pair will receive a bronze medal, gifts, and 2 million VND.

Asian pickleball bronze medalist Le Ba Thanh Xuan confirms his participation in the tournament.

The list of participants for the Men's Doubles Newbie, Women's Doubles Newbie, and Mixed Doubles Newbie categories will be selected by the expert panel and the organizing committee. Registration for the remaining categories will be done using the form available here.

Registration fee for Doubles Open and Super Cup: 1,000,000 VND (one million Vietnamese Dong); Registration fee for Team events: 4,000,000 VND (four million Vietnamese Dong). The deadline for registration is July 2nd, 2024. The Organizing Committee will prioritize athletes/teams who register early, meet the eligibility criteria, and pay the registration fee early.
