Coach Kim Sang-sik hopes fans will come to the stadium to "fuel" U23 Vietnam

VHO - Before the match with U23 Singapore, coach Kim Sang-sik expressed his wish for fans to come to Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho) to cheer for U23 Vietnam.

At 7:00 PM tonight, September 6th, at Viet Tri Stadium, the Vietnam U23 team will play their second match in Group C of the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers against Singapore U23.

Coach Kim Sang-sik is cautious ahead of the Singapore U23 match.

Coach Kim Sang-sik stated that the entire team is actively preparing both physically and tactically, ready for this important match.

“As everyone knows, the weather in Phu Tho is quite hot. Through meetings, we have watched video footage to learn from the recent match and prepare for the upcoming games. Overall, the Vietnam U23 team is well-prepared for the match against Singapore U23,” said coach Kim Sang-sik.

Assessing the opponent, Coach Kim stated that Singapore has its own strengths, and affirmed that the Vietnam U23 team will make some personnel adjustments to suit the tactical requirements.

The coach, born in 1967, emphasized: "I can't say specifically, but there will be some changes to the starting lineup. I have faith in and expect the best performance from the players."

The players are ready for tonight's match.

Concluding his speech, Coach Kim Sang-sik appealed to fans to come to Viet Tri Stadium to cheer on and give strength to the young players.

"This is our second match in Group C of the 2026 U23 Asian Cup qualifiers. We hope the fans in Phu Tho will come to cheer and encourage the Vietnam U23 team to have a good game."

In Group C, Vietnam U23 and Yemen U23 are leading with 3 points each. Another victory would open the door for coach Kim Sang-sik's team to get closer to their goal of qualifying for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Championship.
