On behalf of Hanoi's health sector, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung donated 100 cases of physiological saline solution and 155 cases of essential medicines for treating eye diseases, skin diseases, and digestive disorders to serve the needs of people for prevention and treatment of common illnesses during the rainy season and floods.
Immediately afterwards, a delegation from the Hanoi Department of Health directly visited and encouraged the people, and inspected and supervised the medical response at the Nam Phuong Tien Commune Military Headquarters. This is a temporary shelter for flood-affected households, arranged by the commune government.
As of the afternoon of September 12th, more than 60 people had been evacuated to the commune's Military Headquarters, mostly elderly people, children, and those with underlying health conditions. Medical staff on duty there have done a good job of providing healthcare and boosting the morale of the residents.
During a field visit, Dr. Nguyen Dinh Hung highly appreciated the efforts of the district's medical staff in recent days. He also requested that the General Hospital and the Health Center of Chuong My district send more personnel to be on duty and provide support to people in the flooded areas; continue to proactively ensure the necessary conditions for medical examination, treatment, and first aid; guide the people on measures to prevent and control common diseases after floods; and provide guidance on environmental sanitation and water source treatment to effectively prevent and control disease outbreaks.

Acknowledging and thanking the Hanoi health sector for its timely support, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chuong My District, Nguyen Anh Duc, affirmed: With the essential medicines donated by the Hanoi Department of Health, the district leadership will immediately direct the allocation process, prioritizing the elderly, children, and people in difficult circumstances in the district to ensure timely medical treatment.
It is known that in recent days, due to the impact of heavy rain and flooding, several communes such as Nam Phuong Tien, Tan Tien, and Hoang Van Thu have been severely flooded. To ensure the safety of the people, the district has proactively implemented the relocation and evacuation of residents from flooded areas to safe locations.
