Giáng My was born in 1971 into a family with a tradition in the arts; her father was a director and her mother was a music lecturer. In the 1990s, she became an actress, model, and one of the leading "calendar girl queens."

She was crowned Miss Hung Temple in 1992. To this day, she is still jokingly called "the one and only beauty queen" or "the beauty queen without a successor" because the competition was only held once.

Over the years, Giáng My has pursued business ventures, only occasionally appearing at entertainment events and serving as a judge in some competitions. However, each time she appears, she attracts attention because of her beauty that seems untouched by time.
