Miss Le Hoang Phuong participates in 'Dancing with the Stars 2024'.

Returning after an 8-year hiatus, Dancing with the Stars 2024 features many innovations, marking a collaboration between two production teams from Vietnam and South Korea – the same teams that created the successful first season of the reality dating show Paradise Island.

Miss Le Hoang Phuong is one of the surprising faces appearing in the cast of 10 contestants in the new version.

Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 stated that she accepted the invitation to participate in the program because she wanted to challenge herself in a new field. "The program's return after 8 years is a great opportunity for me to explore my abilities. The combination of music and dance has always fascinated me, so I believe this will be an unforgettable experience for me to develop in many artistic areas," Lê Hoàng Phương shared.

Originally an amateur beauty queen with little experience in dance, the beauty from Khanh Hoa attracted attention when the organizers announced her as one of the contestants. On the competition's fan page, she received much support from fans in her new role. To prepare for the competition, the beauty queen said she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to training. This is also the reason why she has limited her appearances at events recently.

"Many people have asked me why I haven't been attending many events in the past two months after the final walk, but I think that once you start something, you should dedicate all your time to it to get good results. I carefully select events and only appear in those that are suitable to try to improve my dance skills," said Le Hoang Phuong.

For the past two months, Le Hoang Phuong has spent most of her time practicing dance.

For the past two months, Le Hoang Phuong has been actively training to prepare for the competition. The beauty queen said that every day, she still has to handle work at the architectural firm where she is the CEO. Around 11 am, she will begin her training schedule with the organizers. Like the other contestants, Le Hoang Phuong has about 30 dance lessons to familiarize herself with dancesport, training with foreign dancers.

"I feel I'm not as naturally gifted as some of the other contestants, so I have to compensate with hard work. I practice dancing for about 6 hours every day. On busy days, I practice from 8 or 9 pm until midnight before I can go home," Le Hoang Phuong shared.

Thanks to her active participation in dance training, Miss Grand Vietnam 2024 is often praised by her fellow dancers for her diligence. Getting acquainted with dancesport has brought Le Hoang Phuong many interesting experiences.

"Previously, I thought there was only one type of ballroom dancing, but when I entered the competition, I realized there are so many different styles. The most difficult thing for me was remembering the names, rhythms, and movements of each style. Besides practicing, I also spent time learning about the culture of each dance style to better understand the spirit of the dance, which helped me perform better," said Le Hoang Phuong.

Besides practicing dance, the beauty queen also spends about an hour each day training for endurance, going to the gym, and learning warm-up and stretching techniques to minimize muscle stiffness after intense workouts. The 1995-born beauty queen said that there were days when she was "so sore she could barely walk," but she still tried her best.

In her first performance, Le Hoang Phuong aimed to deliver an emotionally explosive display, while also showcasing technical sophistication. "I want to convey the message that not only dance but any creative endeavor requires passion and determination," the beauty queen shared.

Le Hoang Phuong was born in 1995 in Khanh Hoa province. She graduated from the Architecture department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. She won Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 and competed in Miss Grand International the same year, where she placed 4th runner-up. She is currently the CEO of an architectural firm.
